Faculty: Queens Summer Vocal Institute (Music Theory and Musicianship)
Develops and implements age appropriate, research-based pedagogy in music theory, musicianship and acting for the stage. Classroom instruction in groups of 15-20 students with varying levels of prior experience. Other responsibilities include 1:1 instruction in music theory/musicianship and music composition in classical style.
Private Studio: Voice, Music Theory, Musicianship and Composition
Maintains studio of 5-10 students in Classical Voice, Music Theory, Musicianship and/or Music Composition. Develops and implements age and experientially appropriate course of study tailored to student needs and goals.
Student Teaching: Syosset High School (Syosset, NY)
Develops and implements lessons and curriculum aligned with the National Core Arts Standards in conjunction with Cooperating Teacher in grades 9-12. Responsible for student instruction in subject areas including 9-12 choir (un-auditioned and auditioned); small group and 1:1 lessons; piano accompaniment for choral, chamber and solo performance. Responsible for instruction and assistance to cooperating teacher in subject areas including PreK general music; elementary recorder; 6-8 choir (un-auditioned and auditioned); 6-8 songwriting/composition.
